Halaal catering Cape Town
Halaal catering Cape Town, built around one thing done properly — a whole lamb on the spit, cooked at your venue and priced per head from R165. We buy certified halaal meat from a certified halaal butcher and cook on dedicated pork-free equipment, and we hold no halaal certificate of our own, which we would rather you knew on this page than discover at the function.
Certified meat, dedicated equipment, no certificate of our own.
Those are two different claims, and most caterers blur them. We hold no certificate from the Muslim Judicial Council, SANHA, NIHT or any other halaal authority. What we do hold is a supply chain we can show you: meat bought certified from a halaal butcher, a spit, rod, trays and carving kit that have never carried pork, preparation kept away from non-halaal food, and no wine, beer or pork derivative in any baste or marinade.
Whether that is enough is your call and your family's, not ours. If certification is a requirement for your guests then we are not the right caterer, and we will tell you that up front. You can ask us for the butcher's certificate before you commit a cent.
What halaal catering Cape Town covers on the day
A spit braai is a service, not a delivery. Here is the shape of a booking from arrival to the moment we drive away.
Halaal caterers, muslim food catering, and what the words are doing
The phrases people search are not all asking the same question, so it is worth being plain about which one we answer.
What we do not cater
Being useful here saves us both a phone call. We are a spit braai operation, not a full kitchen, and these are the jobs to give somebody else.
- Cold platters, savouries and finger food. Cape Town has specialists who do nothing else and do it better. We do not compete with them.
- Certified halaal catering. If your function requires a certified caterer, you need a certified caterer. We will not pretend the distinction is small.
- Indoor or kitchen-based catering. The spit is an outdoor coal fire. No venue lets us run one indoors and no venue should.
- Functions under 25 guests. A whole lamb does not scale down. For 15 people you want a caterer with a kitchen, not a spit.

Questions before you book
What size functions do you cater?
From 25 guests to about 200. Below 25 a whole lamb does not make sense and we will say so rather than sell you one.
Do you supply waiters and crockery?
No. We carve and serve at the buffet and clear our own kit. Plates, cutlery, glasses, linen and table service are yours to arrange, and we are happy to say who is good.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, and it holds the date and covers the butcher's order. The balance is due on the day. The written quote states both figures before you commit.
Can you work at any venue?
Almost. We need about three metres of level outdoor ground for the spit, vehicle access to carry coals and a rod in, and a venue that permits outside caterers and an open coal fire. Some estates do not, so check before you book us.
